Finding the Right Time to Start.

Committing to your fitness journey is one of the hardest and most rewarding things you can and will do for yourself. How do we know when it is the right time to start? What if we already started and fell off? Read the following article to make sure you're kicking off your journey the right way, and at the right time for you!

We all have to start somewhere...


When it comes to fitness journeys, we all have our own unique starting and end points, but when those moments happen is going to be unique too. Life has so many variables and many that can be unforeseen, so staying on top of that, as well as fitness can be overwhelming. Figuring out your starting point should be based on you, and only you because only you can hold yourself accountable and get you to where you want to be. One major piece of advice we at MPF want to give you is to not think so hard on it. Starting doesn't have to be this huge lifestyle change, and usually those methods don't let long. Start by taking little steps toward the direction you want to go in. Every marathon starts with a step. Also sit down and write a list of goals you want, and write 3 steps for each goal, that will help you get there.


Keys to succeeding on your fitness journey:

  • Healthy and sustainable changes

  • Realist goals and timelines


Making sure you have the keys to success is the first step. Everyone will have a unique fitness journey based on things such as age, resources, physical ability, time and more. Being patient with ourselves is the first step. Many people get quickly discouraged when they don't meet their goals quickly, and can be the main reason people give up. This journey will not be quick or easy, there is no sugar coating that, but most things worth having aren't. The work you will put in to yourself will be one of the most rewarding things you can do, and will 100% be worth it in the end.
